The Byron Bay Winter Whales Ocean Swim is a community event that occurs on the first Sunday in May across the pristine waters of Byron Bay. Southern Cross University is a frequent attendee of this annual event and support the intentions of the Byron Bay Winter Whales (hosts).
What are the events on offer?
| Event | Description |

| Byron Bay Property Sales Ocean Swim Classic | This swim course is approximately 2.2km in length and begins at Wategos Beach to Main Beach in Byron Bay. This course is recommended for those that are experienced in ocean open water swimming and have significant swimming fitness. |
| Byron Bay Chocolate Co. Dash | This swim course is run just before the Property Sales Swim and is a shorter distance to the main swim. This course is designed to be an introductory swim to those new to ocean open water swimming. |
