Clubs and societies
Clubs and societies are a great way to meet new people who have a shared interest or get involved and try a new skill or hobby. There are a variety of clubs and societies at SCU all ranging from cultural, political, and academic to sport, recreation and community service. These clubs and societies are managed by each of our Student Associations. Check them out below:
The Coffs Harbour Student Association, also known as CHSA, looks after all clubs and societies at the SCU Coffs Harbour campus. There are a broad range of clubs and societies on campus such as the SCU Nursing Society, National Marine Science Centre Student Club and more!

CoastRs aims to deliver health and wellness activities alongside subsidised programs aimed at creating an inclusive and supportive community on campus. They look after a broad range of clubs and societies.

LEXSA’s main focus is student clubs, student support, and student events. LEXSA also manages some pretty exciting clubs such as the Bouldering Wall Society and the Community Garden.

SCU Gold Rats
Community Sports Club
Based out of Lismore, the SCU Gold Rats Rugby Club competes in the Far North Rugby Union men's and women's competitions.

Community Sports Club
Also known as the Netty Rats, the SCU Netball is the largest club within the Southern Cross community with over 150 players across 15 teams.

One of SCU's newer clubs, the Judo Club operates out of Lismore and welcomes all skills and ability to try out Judo.
