Orientation

Student Volunteer - Orientation

Orientation volunteers play a vital role in welcoming and guiding new students as they transition into university. Volunteer opportunities are available at our three main campuses; Gold Coast, Northern Rivers, and Coffs Harbour.

 Orientation Vollies assist with:

  • Orientation event prep and set-up
  • Welcoming new students, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere
  • Assisting with orientation activities, workshops, and social events to help new students connect with each other
  • Chatting with new students
  • Encouraging involvement in campus life, including clubs, organisations, and events

The Term 1 Orientation week is Monday 3rd March - Friday 7th March 2025.

SCU Mates

  • Provide support (non-academic)
  • Meet with Mentees online or on campus - you can decide!
  • Share experiences and tips to help new students settle into their studies
  • Refer new students to support services - training is provided
