Grace Redden
Grace Redden is a PhD candidate at Southern Cross University, where she investigates goal setting in workplace injury and illness rehabilitation. In addition to her studies, she serves as a Student Member of the University Council.
Grace brings a broad perspective to the Council, having completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wollongong, where she explored the mental toughness and psychological fatigue of Special Forces soldiers, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a Bachelor of Exercise Science (Distinction). Her professional experience includes working as a sports scientist in the National Rugby League (NRL), as well as in strength and conditioning coaching for team sport athletes and rehabilitation-based personal training.
She has a strong passion for improving the educational experience for students, having founded the University of Wollongong's Exercise Science Society to support students' academic and career development. She has proudly served on the National Board of Sports Medicine Australia's Student Association for five years, previously known as the Sport and Exercise Medicine Students Association (SEMSA).
