Biography
Ebi Cocodia is Professor of Counselling in the Faculty of Health.
Ebi is a registered integrative therapist and accredited clinical supervisor.
She is a curriculum expert in counselling and behavioural sciences as well as a TEQSA expert consultant at the national level.
Ebi maintains her clinical capabilities by providing counselling and clinical supervision for diverse groups, while linking research to practice.
Research
Ebi’s research focuses on counsellor education, person-centred approaches, youth mental health, psychology of human intelligence, reflective practice and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
Her national and international profile in the discipline of counselling include non-government and government submissions and reports.
Community engagement
Ebi sits on various academic boards and has chaired counselling accreditation panels for many universities and colleges within Australia and internationally.
Ebi has strong ties to the local community through links with both non-government and government led health and social services.
Supervision
Ebi is an experienced principal supervisor who has supervised HDR students including PhDs and Masters candidates.
