Clare Thorpe

Biography

Clare Thorpe is an award-winning library leader, research-practitioner, and Non-Executive Board Director. Clare is the Director, Library Services at Southern Cross University. She has worked in academic and state libraries since 2001 using evidence-based practice and user experience methodologies to implement user centred innovations and digital library services.

Clare is a Distinguished Certified Practitioner of the Australian Library and Information Association (2020-2024). She was awarded the Association's Metcalfe Award (2005) and Queensland Library Achiever of the Year Award (2016).
