Biography
Liz Goode is a Teaching Scholar in the Academic Portfolio Office, with a focus on evaluating innovative education models through the scholarship of learning and teaching (SoLT). From 2019-2020 she taught in the Preparing for Success Program in SCU College. Her focus as an educator is on preparing and empowering students from diverse backgrounds for university study in blended, online and immersive modes. She is the recipient of an Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, and several Vice-Chancellor's Citations.
Research
Liz has a PhD in Communication and Media Arts, awarded in December 2019. Her thesis investigated constructions of cultural identity, belonging and family. Her current research interests include pedagogy, engagement and success in higher education, with a specific focus on immersive or block models and non-traditional students in enabling programs.
