Biography

Rita has had a 34 year career in research universities with 29 at The University of British Columbia - supervised over 30 PhDs to completion and continue to supervise a dozen at UBC - served on over 30 PhD committees to completion and continue to serve on 6 more at UBC - served as external examiner to many PhD dissertations at UBC and beyond - brought in over $11 million in research and equivalent funding over my career - have over 100 refereed journal articles, over 100 chapters in books, have over 30 published or in press edited books, 1 authored book and countless articles in professional journals - leader of a number of national and international arts education organizations
