Research
Lead researcher for the National Pleasure Audit (Australia), a research project aimed at providing a snapshot of the nature and extent of Australians’ pleasures.
Experienced researcher and multidisciplinary collaborator with a focus on strengths-based interventions for building personal resources to support positive mental health and psychological well-being.
Internationally published author.
Collaborator with the multi-nation 'Toward Gender Harmony Project'.
Strength in translational research with a particular focus on carers, the health workforce, and disadvantaged students.

Supervision
Highly engaged Honours, Masters and PhD supervisor. Principal supervisor of a number of current HDR students looking at topics including the effect of emotional intelligence training for junior and senior surgeons, the well-being of older adults aging in place, and the experience of rehabilitation and education programs for people with hearing loss and their significant others.
Teaching
Currently, Chair of Academic Board. Previously, led the curriculum renewal for the Bachelor of Psychological Science.
Wrote and developed 'Positive Psychology' and the Masters level unit 'Social and Emotional Competence in the Workplace' with a focus on developing emotional intelligence for tomorrow's leaders in healthcare.
