Colette Giltrap

Colette is a Digital Technologist, employed in the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), having become a part of the SCU team in 2003. She brings a unique blend of creativity and technical skill and is responsible for the comprehensive end-to-end development of high-quality graphic; interactive; motion graphic; internal promotional and educational resources that cater to the needs of academic support across the university. Colette engages in the entire project lifecycle, from the initial concept to the final digital creation, working collaboratively with various stakeholders. Colette also plays a pivotal role in promoting academic professional learning events in CTL.

Responsible for the production of web pages on the CTL website she reviews website analytics using SiteImprove, to enhance user-experience and optimise content. Colette is the CTL Marketing Brand Champion representative ensuring CTL materials adhere to SCU's brand guidelines and consistency is maintained across the suite of resources.

Creative and passionate about design, Colette employs visual communication as an integral element to resource development, also ensuring accessibility, inclusivity and best practice are applied to facilitate development of effective teaching tools.

Qualifications relevant to Colette's position at SCU include:

• Bachelor of Arts (Graphic Design) with distinction, Charles Sturt University
• Cert IV Information Technology (Website Production) with distinction, North Coast Institute of TAFE

Awards

• Recipient of the 2019 SCU Impact Award. The Unit Warm-up project team supporting student academic success won the 2019 Student Experience Award
• Colette was the recipient of the Charles Sturt University, Art Shop Prize for most outstanding performance in the first year of the BA (Graphic Design) course
