A Reflection Room is available at each campus for individual and small group use. The Reflection Room is a quiet room that has wash facilities located nearby. Within the room you will find a cupboard in which is kept a range of holy texts and items to assist you in your spiritual practice, such as prayer mats, rosary beads and meditation cushions. These may be freely used, but must be put back in the cupboard and the room returned to a 'religiously neutral state', in preparation for the next person who will use the room.
No food or drink is to be consumed in the Reflection rooms.
If there is something that you would like to have included in the Reflection Room to assist you in your religious and spiritual practises on campus, please let the chaplaincy staff know.
Reflection rooms can be found on each campus:
Coffs Harbour: This is presently in redevelopment. Please contact Chaplaincy staff if you require access to a suitable space for prayer and reflection (email: Erica.Butler@scu.edu.au).
Gold Coast: Take the elevator in Building A to access room A.4.19.
Lismore: At the rear of the Chapel, Shop 8 (in the Goodman Plaza, next to the Student Common Room).
After-hours access to the Reflection rooms for SCU students may be arranged by contacting Campus Security staff.
