Professor Philip Poh was first appointed in 1998 as an adjunct Professor at Southern Cross University. He has more than 30 years of extensive industry experience, having held positions as Chief Executive Officer and senior management positions in both commercial and public organisations.

Philip is currently President of Global Investments and Advisory Corporation (GIAC), as well as Chairman of SIPMM. He was formerly an advisor to a global Korean electronics manufacturer on market development in the Asia­‐Pacific region. From 2005 to 2009, he was Group Managing Director of a public company listed on the main-­board of the Singapore Exchange. He also served as director of a public company listed in South Korea, as well as director of companies in the United States, Europe, Australia and several countries in Asia, specifically in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia. His scope of experiences and expertise covers a wide range of manufacturing industries, as well as educational establishments. His varied experiences include several professional disciplines, such as sales and marketing, business strategy, corporate finance, logistics and supply management.

He has been an External Examiner at the University of Wales in UK and the Editorial Advisor for World Markets Reports at Business Briefings Ltd in UK. He was also the editorial reviewer for several international business journals, such as the Australasian Journal of Business and Social Inquiry, as well as the Australian and New Zealand International Business Academy.

Philip is a renowned industry researcher and has undertaken industry assignments for several Fortune 500 companies relating to corporate and business strategies. He has also been invited to speak at numerous world-class conferences in the United States, Europe, UK, Australia, South Africa and several countries in Asia, including China and Hong Kong. Philip has been featured regularly in local and international news media on his views of national and international economies.
