Kay Dimmock: PhD (SCU), M.Ed (USQ), B.Bus Tourism (Hons)(SCU). For over 10 years. Kay has been teaching and researching at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management with responsibilities including units in the School's management stream at undergraduate and post graduate levels. Kay has been involved with the School's commercial programs, and international programs in Asia. She has research interest in tourism at regional and local levels, has examined demand for community events for the Lismore City Council Festival and Events Strategy, and assisted Glen Innes and Severn Shires to develop their regional tourism strategies. Kay has published across areas including managing tourism operations, tourism education, international tourism trends, and leisure experiences specifically marine based leisure, and dive tourism. Her PhD is titled 'Comfort in Adventure - The Role of Comfort Constraints and Negotiation in Recreational SCUBA diving'
