Anna Scott is employed by the School of Environment, Science and Engineering as a Lecturer at the National Marine Science Centre, Coffs Harbour. She is the unit assessor for two third year units: Marine Systems Science and Management and Sustainable Use of the Marine Environment.

Anna’s main research interests include: cnidarian reproductive biology, reef restoration and the marine aquarium trade. She has recently completed her PhD, which provided the first scientific description of the sexual reproduction, larval development, settlement and metamorphosis of sea anemones that provide essential habitat for anemonefish. She is now expanding upon this successful research and is developing optimal methods for the culture of host sea anemones in captivity, whilst also investigating other aspects of the anemone/anemonefish symbiosis.

Anna is a member of SCUs Marine Ecology Research Centre and is currently a Councillor for the Australian Coral Reef Society.
