TAFE Pathways to SCU
Congratulations! if you have completed study at TAFE you are well on your way to your Southern Cross University Degree.
Depending on the TAFE course you've completed, you may be able to use it to gain entry into your university studies with advanced standing (credit) towards your degree. Consider the advanced standing arrangements that apply state wide to NSW TAFE institutes:
TAFE NSW Pathways with all NSW institutes other than North Coast Institute
Articulation Pathways with TAFE NSW
If you are a graduate from TAFE NSW - North Coast Institute (NCIT) or the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE (GCIT), with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma, entry is almost guaranteed into many SCU programs because you will be granted a minimum ATAR equivalent rank for University entry of:
- Diploma (ATAR Rank 86.10); and
- Advanced Diploma (ATAR Rank 92.65).
TAFE NSW - North Coast Institute Pathways
Articulation Pathways with NCIT
Gold Coast Institute of TAFE Pathways
Articulation Pathways with GCIT
The University has a number of other TAFE articulation pathways in place
If you have completed any TAFE studies (or even just some TAFE units), at certificate level III or higher, you also may receive advanced standing (credit) for those studies. This may enable you to complete your university degree in a shorter time than is usually the case.
