Research @ Southern Cross University

Southern Cross University aims to create research and research training that has global and regional impact and relevance. The University's research centres and clusters are focused on creating knowledge in our areas of research strength including, environmental sciences, plant sciences, geoscience, forestry, gambling research, marine science, business, education and tourism.

Research@SCU concentrates on developing research activities in fields of local, national and international significance. Research@SCU supports the SCU research community by providing a range of services to both staff and student researchers.

Graduate School

The Graduate School provides leadership and support to research candidates to enable them to achieve their goals. The school works to provide quality assurance across the complete academic cycle of a postgraduate research candidate - from recruitment, to supervision, to supported candidate progress, through to examination.

This school works with supervisors to ensure quality of experience for all postgraduate students.

Research Services and Grants

The Office of Research supports business development in the field of research including the sourcing of funding, scholarships and grants and the development of research contracts.

Research Committees

Research@SCU also administers policies and rules as they relate to research through the Research Committee and for research training through the Higher Degrees Research Committee (HDRC).
