Orientation for Session 3, 2014
Session 3 2014 commences on 20 October 2014 and O' Week is 13-17 October 2014.
The Session 3 Orientation programs are now online.
Session 1 2015 commences on 16 February 2015 and O' Week is 9-13 February.
The university invites you to take this opportunity to attend orientation and find out about your course, your campus and meet other students and staff before your classes commence!
The university offers a comprehensive orientation program for commencing students and returning students studying at the Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast and Lismore campuses and an Online Orientation program for distance education students. International students have their own compulsory programs at the Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast and Lismore campuses but can attend the regular events when they don't have compulsory events to attend.
At SCU we personalise your orientation with School Hosts, student volunteers from your course who meet and greet you on your first day at uni. Or take a self-guided U Discover SCU tour of each campus and find out about the cultural, sport and recreational programs on offer at SCU.
Welcome from the Vice Chancellor, Professor Peter Lee
"I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new and continuing students and congratulate you on choosing to study at Southern Cross University. We pride ourselves on the personal and supportive environment we provide, whether you are studying at one of our campuses or by distance education.
I encourage you to make the most of the Orientation activities, as these provide a great way to get to know what support is available and how to make the most of your time with us. University is not just about an education, it is also a great opportunity to meet and share ideas and there are many clubs and societies in which to get involved.
Whether you are coming straight from high school, returning to study after a break or seeking a career change, Southern Cross University welcomes you as you take this important step towards your future. We look forward to sharing that journey with you."
