Pre-conference workshop - Researching our practice

Professor Mike Osborne
Wednesday 29 November 2017 12.00 to 3.30pm
A light lunch will be provided at the commencement of the workshop

I have been involved since the early 1980s firstly in designing, delivering and managing Access provision for adults and latterly in researching the field. In this workshop I will initially provide an overview of some of the approaches I have used, ranging from small scale qualitative work through to large scale 'Big Data' methods. The workshop will be designed to introduce participants to the viability of these approaches in their own context with the objective that each person leaves having established a researchable question, and a possible method for undertaking their research.
