Research Summary

Sydur RahmanSydur Rahman completed his undergraduate study at Bangladesh Agricultural University and postgraduate study at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He is working as an Irrigation Engineer (Senior Scientific officer) in Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute. His research interests include irrigation and drainage system, irrigation modelling, crop water requirement and irrigation scheduling, wastewater and contaminated soil management, sustainable management ground water resources, soil and water salinity management, and climate change and crop adaptation. He is currently doing PhD at Southern Cross University, NSW, Australia, and his research focuses are on remediation of organochlorine contaminated soils with alginate polymer and biostimulation solution, and adsorption and reversibility of arsenic in different textured soils. He is the successful recipient of IPRS and APA scholarship.
