How do I register for graduation?

Why can't I see a graduation option in My Enrolment?

Graduation options become available after you have fully satisfied the requirements for your course/award (generally this occurs after your final Session grades official release date).

If you cannot see a graduation choice but believe you have now completed your award please contact our Student Administration Services Team:

I am completing my placement. When can I graduate?

Once you have fully satisfied the requirements of your course, you will be able to register for an upcoming Graduation Ceremony.

When completing placement/practical, the final report must be received and processed by your School before you will be eligible to register a graduation choice.

It is important to note that the Graduation Office is unable to assist with any queries regarding your placement/practical. Please direct those enquiries directly to your School.

I have selected "Mail". When will I receive my testamur (degree certificate)?

Your testamur (degree certificate) will be sent after your award has been conferred (awarded) by the University Council.

To avoid delay please ensure your current contact details are updated in My Enrolment.

Testamurs will be sent by registered mail for domestic deliveries and by courier for all international addresses.

I have picked "Collect". How do I get my testamur?

The Graduation Office is located at R Block, Lismore Campus (R2.07). You will be able to collect your testamur during business hours, after it is conferred (awarded) by the University Council.

You will need to provide photo identification before your testamur can be released. Please email studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au or phone 02 6620 3339 to arrange a suitable time to collect.

I have received my transcript. Why haven't I received my degree certificate?

Your complimentary academic transcript and AHEGS are sent within 20-25 working days of when you complete your award.

All testamurs (degree certificates) are held securely by the SCU Graduation Office awaiting instructions from each graduating student.

You can register your Graduation choice in My Enrolment please refer to our How to Register for Graduation or email studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au and advise how you wish to receive your testamur. Options include:

  • Ceremony: Attend your nominated ceremony as seen in My Enrolment and you will receive your Testamur at the ceremony.
  • Mail: You can choose to receive your testamur by mail and it will be sent to you as soon as it has been conferred (awarded) by the University Council.
  • Collect: Testamurs can be collected from the Graduation Office, Lismore Campus. Please email studentgradinfo@scu.eud.au or call 02 6620 3339 to arrange a suitable time during business hours for collection.
  • Postpone: You can choose to postpone and attend a future Ceremony.

I do not wish to attend a Ceremony. What are my options?

You can choose either of the following options in My Enrolment or by emailing studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au

  • Mail: You can choose to receive your testamur by mail and it will be sent to you assoon as it has been conferred (awarded) by the University Council.
  • Collect: Testamurs can be collected from the Graduation Office, Lismore Campus. Please email or call to arrange a suitable time during business hours for collection.

I cannot attend my Ceremony. What are my options?

You can choose any of the following options My Enrolment or by emailing studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au

  • Mail: You can choose to receive your testamur by mail and it will be sent to you as soon as it has been conferred (awarded) by the University Council.
  • Collect: Testamurs can be collected from the Graduation Office, Lismore Campus. Please email or call to arrange a suitable time during business hours for collection.
  • Postpone: You can choose to postpone and attend a future Ceremony.

Can I postpone my Graduation Ceremony?

Yes.

If you are unable to attend your allocated Ceremony you can choose to postpone your attendance at a ceremony to a future date.

As soon as you have found a Ceremony you would like to attend, please email the Graduation Office at studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Can I change my Ceremony location?

Yes. Ceremony allocations are based on your study location or if studying by distance default to Lismore Campus.

You are more than welcome to attend any of our scheduled Ceremonies at any of our locations. A complete list of upcoming Ceremonies can be found on the SCU website. http://scu.edu.au/graduation/index.php/events/all

Please email studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au with the details of the Ceremony you wish to attend so we can make the necessary arrangements.

What are the registration deadlines 2017?

Will late registrations be accepted?

No. If you have missed the last day to register for an upcoming Graduation you will need to email studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au and postpone to a later Ceremony.

What time will my Ceremony be held?

Graduation Ceremony times and School allocations will be available after the registration deadline.

As soon as the Ceremony time/s are available, all registered graduands will be advised by email and the details will be published on the SCU website and in the Everything You Need to Know about your Graduation booklet for your ceremony.

Can I change my Ceremony time?

No. Unfortunately, it's not possible to change the time of your Graduation Ceremony. Each School/College is allocated to a particular Ceremony time.

Can I bring extra guests or purchase extra tickets?

To ensure the safety and comfort of guests on the day and to comply with Workplace Health and Safety regulations, each graduating student is able to invite up to three (3) guests.

We do keep list of students who would like to invite more than three people so that they can be contacted if any excess tickets are available prior to the event. The availability of additional guest tickets will be assessed after the registration deadline for the Ceremony.

If you would like to be added to the list for extra tickets please email studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au after you have registered with number of tickets you would like to receive.

There is no charge for guest tickets.

How do I book academic dress?

Academic dress is automatically booked for you when you register to attend a Graduation Ceremony.

Full hire costs and collection arrangements will be made available as your Ceremony approaches, please refer to the Everything You Need to Know about your Graduation booklet for your ceremony.

I have lost my testamur (degree certificate). Can I get a replacement?

Yes. Please email studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au for procedures.
