Wear It Purple

Wear It Purple Day

Friday 29 August 2014

Southern Cross University and Coffs Harbour Education Campus students and staff are invited to participate in Wear It Purple Day a day to show gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex young people that they are supported, celebrated and respected.

The Wear it Purple message is that every young person is unique, important and worthy of love and that no one should be subject to bullying, belittlement or invalidation: whoever you are.

A Wear It Purple display will be featured in the Student Hubs at Coffs Harbour and Gold Coast campuses. At Lismore campus a lunch-time Wear It Purple event will be hosted by the Equity & Diversity Office and LEXSA in the Plaza.

Please consider wearing purple on this day to show your support.
