Southern Cross University is committed to equal employment opportunity and creating an organisational culture that is free from all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
Equal opportunity means having a workplace environment where all staff are valued and have equal access to opportunities in the workplace. All staff have a responsibility to comply with anti-discrimination legislation and to treat others fairly and with respect.
EO Online is an interactive equal opportunity workshop conducted online which aims to provide staff with a better understanding of equal opportunity and its application in the University. The program promotes awareness of discrimination and harassment issues and provides an understanding of the legal rights and responsibilities of staff.
EO Online is presented in two modules:
- All staff should work through Module 1.
- Staff with managerial or supervisory responsibilities should work through Modules 1 and 2.
You should schedule 90 minutes to 2 hours to complete each module. The time to complete each module may vary greatly from person to person, depending on their familiarity with the content.
After completing the relevant module, ensure you proceed to the Completion Certificate link which confirms your completion and displays a Certificate of Attainment. The Certificate can be printed from this page and retained for your records. Feedback can also be provided using the Feedback link.
