Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras: Friday 17 February - Sunday 5 March

Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras has become Australia's foremost expression of LGBTIQ visibility and inclusion. The first march, Sydney's contribution to international Gay Solidarity celebrations, took place on Saturday 24th June 1978 and it was met with unexpected police violence.

Today, Mardi Gras attracts thousands of visitors to Sydney to join in the festivities that last for several weeks, culminating in the well-known parade: a colourful celebration of pride, and self-expression.

Close The Gap Day raises awareness of the disadvantage experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in relation to early childhood, schooling, health, economic participation, safe communities, governance and leadership.

EO Online Staff Training

EO Online is an interactive equal opportunity workshop conducted online which aims to provide staff with a better understanding of equal opportunity and its application in the University.

The program promotes awareness of discrimination and harassment and provides an understanding of the legal rights and responsibilities of staff.
