Accreditation

EAL is accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, for its technical competence in the field of Chemical Testing. The EAL Analytical Services Price List (pdf) documents the EAL NATA accredited methods (pdf).

EAL is also a member of the Australian Soil and Plant Analysis Council (ASPAC), routinely undertaking inter-laboratory trials for ASPAC accredited tests (pdf).

Strong connections and affiliations

EAL has strong connections through the SCU's schools and special research centres:

EAL provides industry scholarships for study in environmental science through the School of Environment, Science and Engineering, SCU. EAL also supports technical and administrative education by providing traineeships for TAFE students. EAL is a gold sponsor and an active participant in the annual Northern Rivers Science and Engineering Challenge for high school students.
