Welcome to Southern Cross University Copyright Guide
The Southern Cross University Copyright Office provides advice to SCU staff on the use of copyright materials for educational and research purposes. Our aim is to provide a plain English interpretation of the statutory educational licences that SCU operates under and to ensure compliance with SCU's obligations under the Copyright Act 1968. This site provides online information and resources for staff and students. The Copyright Office will also provide face to face training and awareness sessions for SCU's teaching cohort or support staff. Please contact us to arrange an information session for your School or Organisational Unit.
This website has been developed by the Copyright Office to provide a starting point for SCU students and staff to understanding their obligations and entitlements with regard to copyright.
The pages within this site provide general information and do not constitute legal or other professional advice. Legal or professional advice concerning copyright must be sought from a suitably qualified and currently licensed professional.
